SOPHIE EVERARD.
Originally from England, this passionate surfer recently moved to Portugal to live closer to the waves. With a background in journalism, she has dedicated her career to women in sport through her contributions to leading surfing magazines, her podcast “Drop In Sessions” and her book, in which she explains snowboarding technique.
Now the mother of a little boy, Sophie focuses on her “Mad To Live” retreats, specially designed for women in search of adventure. Whether in Costa Rica, Morocco, England or Portugal, she works in parallel with local associations to help children take part in sports, notably with “The Wave Project”, which uses surfing as a therapy for children suffering from anxiety and depression.
WHY WE CHOSE HER.
Because Sophie is a true surfing enthusiast, mother and well-known journalist in the surfing world. Because her commitment to developing the sport for women and children is impressive. And above all, because her Squamish Blossom Pink suits her perfectly!
SELECTION.
