Les Voyages de Tao

MAGALI, JULIEN & TAO.

Magali is passionate about travel, yoga and photography. Julien is more into mountain biking, surfing, windsurfing and snowboarding. So, the day they became parents, it gave an explosive little mix named Tao. At 9 years old, this little guy has already traveled quite a bit: India, Sri Lanka, Azores, Canada, Morocco, Senegal, Portugal, Spain, Dominican Republic, Sweden, Italy… and around his home with his parents’ van. They always have a plan for a trip or a weekend for three in the pipeline (normal, the dad being a plumber, haha…). Magali does not go on set without her Squamish and her Piha. Julien is more fan of Smogen for his surfing sessions, or the Piha for mountain biking. And Tao never leaves his Popoyo.

Their blog www.lesvoyagesdetao.fr is a treasure of information for adventurous parents: travel log, advice and tips, photos, food, vanlife … And Magali also just finished a book published by Eyrolles and called, “Vanlife with the Family: dare to be free!”

WHY WE CHOSE THEM.

Because we would have loved to be Tao at his age. Because Magali’s photos are superb. We find their lifestyle (and educating their kid through exploration and travel) simply too cool for school. Because they encourage other parents to travel with their kids. Because “the important thing is not the destination, but the journey. And simply because we love this trio …
